Here Comes the New Record!

Ladies and Gentlemen!  We are just 12 short days away from the Official Release of DEFENDING THE NAME! The website is almost done, the t-shirts are being made, the collector's poster is shipping, the record is in stores (on the interweb) and the band is packing up the van (soon).  Get your dancing shoes on because it is time to party!  In celebration of the new record's release, we're bringing out all the stops for full band shows in Boston, New York and DC.  Check out the news below ...

The record has arrived and in less than two weeks it will be available on iTunes, CD Baby and TaylorCarson.com -- if you are one of the lucky few at the CD Release Shows next week you can get your hands on a copy early!

Next week we will be launching a brand new website, a new webstore with new t-shirts and best of all a new 6-piece band in NYC, BOS and DC on Thursday, Friday and Saturday!

This record has pulled together a dream team and I want to introduce you to them now! James Kenly with Horizons Management was there when I had the vision for the record. Todd Wright produced the record with amazing musical ideas. Evan Jake Cohen made the video for "Five" and did all the photography.  Rob Helmstetter created a visual landscape that is completely what the record is supposed to look like. Syd helped keep us on target and Matt York created the websites.  Even our manufacturer, OasisCD, believes in the record and so does Nimbit, our new webstore and newsletter host.  Please check them all out!

I've started a new series of videos on our YouTube Channel called "The Apartment Sessions."  So far I've done "Die Happy," "Telephone Down," and last night I posted "Hold On" and "Only Angel."  Enjoy!

All the News That's Fit to Print!

So there is a lot going on and we're excited to share it with you -- but first we need to emphasize our CD Release shows.  I've been rehearsing a 6 piece band with a special set list in celebration of the release of "Defending The Name" on 9/14!!!  The shows are on Thursday in NYC (Rockwood), Friday in Boston (Johnny D's) and Saturday in DC (IOTA)!

The new song, "Five," earned an Honorable Mention in the 17th Annual Billboard Song Contest -- they said it was "well written with great delivery."  We've also been featured on The Highway Girl blog and have been chosen by XBox Live to do a Game With Fame on September 24th!

After the big shows next week the band is headlining Conchtoberfest in the Florida Keys!  Then I'll be sharing stages with Catie Curtis and Pat McGee and touring coast to coast!

Final Thoughts

It has been over two years since we started making this record and next week we get to share it with you.  We know that many of you have been working hard to spread the word and we very much appreciate it!  We're working hard to continue deserving your support and we believe that there are some great things in the works this year.  Please join us at the shows next week and bring your friends -- it's time to celebrate!
